You cannot chase two rabbits at the same time

You cannot chase two rabbits at the same time

The old saying goes: If you chase two rabbits, both will escape. With today’s modern times we find ourselves forced to chase two rabbits at the same time.

As much as we find ourselves chasing two rabbits all the time, it is very hard to catch them at the same time. You might have caught one, and the other one runs away. Multi-tasking comes with a heavy price most of the times. This especially impacts on the modern woman, who wants to do it all. I mean achieve her career goals and still be the perfect wife and mother. Women are tired of just chasing one rabbit, or at times are forced to chase more than one rabbit.
It has become doable, but at a price in most cases, as a focused career woman cannot focus as much as she would want to in raising her children. It was made easy for women in the days gone by; however it also marginalized them, as it limited them from powerful positions in societies around the world. So it was up to a few women to start by showing other women across the world that it can be done.
So if I were to be asked about catching two rabbits at the same time, I would say, depends if you want to hold both the rabbits dearly in your arms.photo of two rabbits

Why I have conversations?

Why I have conversations?

Having conversations with other people is a good way of broadening one’s knowledge. However I also believe in having conversations with myself and with God.

My conversations with God are private and very sacred to me; they hold a special place and have deep meaning in my life. Conversations with my creator, awakens the spiritual side of me, which is often left unattended for some time. Such conversations bring me closer to feeling the connection with God. These conversations, reminds me that I merely a human, given the wisdom to be as productive as I choose to be on this earth, however they remind me, that I have a spiritual part.

Such conversations are more meaningful to me, as I get to be calm, I learn to be still, and listen all around me. Listen to what nature has to tell me. Such conversations, makes me believe that I have a greater purpose on this earth, that I have more potential than I credit myself with.

I have conversations to remind me that I have a dream and that I can’t give up. I am reminded that in life it is not about winning the race, but rather being part of the race and making it to the finishing line. That no matter how many times one felt like quieting before that finishing line, they don’t give up.When work, commitment, and pleasure all become one and you reach that deep well where passion lives, nothing is impossible

It is a poor idea to lie to yourself

It is a poor idea to lie to yourself

I will never ever lie to myself again as I did last time for a short time of pleasure. I was ignorant to myself because I did not want to learn but assuming or pretending as if I know when into myself I knew that I do not know. It is only after the consequence that I realise that I was wrong to lie to myself. And it was for my own interest to accept or to say the truth in order to learn from there. Or again, I lied to myself because I was in rush, or for being selfish. I had an employment offer from a company where they were looking for candidates with experience to apply for positions. I decided to apply for the position and also add some qualities that I did not have. I was employed immediately without any training. But other candidates were trained by the organisation and they had a chance to deliver a good performance. But me who was employed immediately could not perform well and the company could not extend my contract. Since there, I have decided not to lie to myself.

The elephant in the room

The Elephant in the room

As some of war survivors refer to their horrific time in the East of Congo death camps as the massacre identifying such euphemisms may help uncover conspiracies of silence by highlighting what they consider unmentionable. Yet a careful examination of euphemisms also seems to show that trauma is only one of the factors that produce silence. Indeed, most conspiracies of silence are generated by the two main reasons we actually use euphemisms, namely fear and embarrassment. Yet silence is also generated by the somewhat milder form of shame we call embarrassment, as when a group of scholars are asked to evaluate a well-liked yet obviously unproductive colleague, when lecturers discover incidents of work violence in their own parish, or when co-workers watch aging physicians lose their clinical touch. Consider also hushed-up instances of suicide, mental illness, or alcohol abuse within families.

It is better to practice a little than talk a lot

It is better to practice a little than talk a lot

It is interesting more about people who talk a lot and want attention but do not accomplish their facts. Practice makes perfect, where as talk is just a cheap way to express you out of a situation. To pretend that you actually know what you are doing. Talking a lot makes the individual lazy. I mean it makes the body and mind tired and want to rest. When you are tired, you won’t be able to deliver a good service and you don’t want to work hard. Personally, I hate people who like talking about other people's affairs because they are not sure about themselves but interesting about other people. There is no time to waist in this world anymore as life has become very challenges. It is sad for people who are still giving their time to listen to anyone’s when they don't have any interests out that but losing their time to practice in order to learn and get something in return. Timing is important since modernisation. Give yourself for something that will bring a benefit in return.  People understand is that nothing is fun until you're good at it. To get good at anything you have to work.

How do you step from the top of a 100-foot pole?

How do you step from the top of a 100-foot pole?

We all have in our lifetime experienced fear of the unknown and in order to succeed it the only thing that we must overcome. It is not an easily thing to do, it is always a barrier in our progress. While we were still young our mother used to take the first in terms of overcoming the fear of the unknown, by letting us to something , the first couple of year at school , one is being assisted to go , but later only to realize that , one just do it voluntarily. This is the challenge that we are faced with in our lives, because all these challenges will have to be overcome by us.

Its like when one find him/herself in an is unhappy situation such work, or marriage. Before we take a decision to leave the work or ask for a divorce we think twice as to what will be the outcome of the intended action while at the same we don’t think about what kind of freedom/joy it might bring in our lives once we get rid of the situation we find ourselves into it.This also refers to position of power , when you hear that somebody is a director , one just fear the big word and get intimidate with such word and that fear is what hinders ones progress in terms of career development.
In a nutshell, people must not fear something which they do not know or tested, including death itself , in order to succeed one must have curiosity to test new things in

Fellings follow behaviour

Fellings follow behaviour

Today in South Africa, people are griping in the streets for not receiving the promised service delivery by the government after seventeen years of patience. They the people find themselves in a situation where they cannot handle themselves anymore. They have been discussing their plight in some corners for a long time, sometime attempt to engage government and then eventually decided to embark on a protest. If people feel that they are marginalised and no one cares or listens to them, one will notice that a feeling will be portrayed by their behaviour. It is like when they are happy about something, that will also be portrayed by their behaviour where they will express their enthusiasms when such matter make them happy is brought to their attention or discussed. So just a word of advice with regards to those who would like to hold public servant post guard against your reputation with the constituency you serve , because if you don't guard against that it will be shown through a feeling that will follow behaviour. With this new South Africa, people are free to express their rights according to constituency.
