IF I WERE THE BOSS
Just to be honest, if
I were a boss there would have been a number of victims in my company, because
I would be Mr. Take no nonsense. I would be a simple boss , who at all-time
scans the environment, keep myself at all-time up to date with trends , make my
firm the best by bringing people of high degree of skills ,while creating an
environment conducive to work. I have been in the workplace for a long time and
the mistake that I have experience in the workplaces, bosses are sometimes
misled by those who are at Human Resources. Incompetent people are getting jobs
and those who sacrifice for the company are not rewarded for their hard work.
There is nothing I hate in the workplace more than discrimination, you will
notice that people are claiming that , the company has made profit for a
certain financial year say between 65-70% profit and when one try to get
information as to what is happening inside the business , almost a three quarter
of the workforce/staff compliment is not happy, then I begging to question as
to what would have been the profit margins of the company, if these people
would have been happy or their concerns addressed and that is what most bosses
seemed to be not understanding. I know that you cannot please everybody, but
companies must try as much as they can to engage their employees or create an
environment that says "I am valued here for my little contribution”. If I
were the boss I wouldn't compromise my profit with people who have their hidden
agenda by bringing politics in the work place. If I realize such games are
played in my company, irrespective of how good is the employees, all of those
irrespective of their color, would have been out my company. In fact I would
make it the policy of my company that discrimination in my company is unlawful
and spell it out clearly what will be the consequences of such actions should
they happen in my company. I would also allow competition but avoid an unhealthy
competition which can be detrimental to the moral and performance of my
employees.
